I displayed this concept and graphical preview to obtain early stage feedback, which we have obtained. The constructive feedback is greatly appreciated, it is nice to have people who are so cooperative in helping us improve the concept. We have merely reached the initial mechanics of this skill, the other 90% of the details, such as the ones pointed out by tintin have not been determined yet.

On the other hand we have some ignorant responses. How could you say that anything is overpowered at this point? So sure of your opinions too, it makes me laugh. To say that the skill is overpowered because soldiers are meant to be slow is silly. Though your idea is based on a true fact, you are ignoring the fact that our players have double, even triple the amount of the DEX stat that rose online developers ever intended a player to have. When using this grappling skill in testing even, the soldier barely has time to fire off one skill before the dex character takes off running.

Lastly, stop suggesting a new map, hell will freeze over before I make a new map for this issue, it is not going to happen, period, not by my hands at least. It is absolutely hilarious that you think that making a map is soo easy compared to "wasting time" making a new skill. With all due respect, you honestly just don't have a clue, so don't try to judge our priorities when you have no idea what you are talking about.

I completly disagree to this hook up skill. I believe this will do more harm rather then giving a benefit. Many people likes going tg 2vs10 and just kite around having fun and killing them one after one, and now this will be taken away? All this really will benefit are the bigger clans exo and ysal who got the numbers. There wont even be any idea for the smaller clans to enter tg since numbers will be the only thing that matters from now on when you cant run. You are killing this server slowly by doing this, the players who complain about inbalance in classes right now are those who are unsuccessfull in game. The solution is not to implement a new skill, but to use some common sense and build a character who can compete to everything, and if you don't manage to do that its not the system who is wrong but the build of your character. Over and out.

Empo is true tho, there is a lot of fencers and knights in war so what happens if all 3-5 of them hooked the one target... And it is only. 1 on all, you will definitely lose for sure.

Are you saying 2 players kite and kill 10 players, and you don't want that taken away? Don't you think it's unbalanced if you can kill 10 players without getting hit?

What he mean is luring them in 1 by 1 killing them. There is no chance of doing that no more when they will just hook you.

Maybe everybody doesnt see where this is going, but from all people complaining about the fact that things is unfair is about to ruin this game. Things is about to get plain balanced between all classes so in the end all will come down to flipping a coin about who is supposed to win a fight, is that what we want? I repeat myself, do not blame the system, blame your own ability.

If things become "plain balanced", skill is what makes the difference.

This game has nothing with skill to do. It's about landing a stun and then cast 4 skills in the right order to win a fight. You can train a monkey to do so.

Exactly, and we made those dr fencers for a reason right? Because of their tank abilities and speed. But if this hook up skill will be announced what would the use of dr fencer be? Then its better to make an AP/HP knight since you will be able to hook all your opponents and 1v1 them, which in the end will make dr fencers totally useless.

Indeed, sorry but wtf is wrong with you guys. Thinking up a new skill which will ruin the server even more, instead of just SMALLER THE MAP IN 1v1. Really think properly.

A few things to improve the server quality:
- nerf the ap raider
- fix the hunter job
- fix the shaman job
- just make the game arena for 1v1 and soulmate smaller, like in duels.

Were you on the forum in the weeks after we tried to nerf katars? Everyone on this server has a Raider, so any change we make that might make raiders a little less powerful is rejected by the players. We could rename the server to RaiderRose.

About pulling, scout have an similar skill. As empo managed i builded my fencer to be fast and kill fast. Knight got taunt if im not mistaking and provoke ?

Like you said, everyone doesn't like it when his job gets nerfed. But to be honest, I don't like it either when it is OVERPOWERED, like it is now.

Okay let me make myself a little more clear then. This game has nothing with skill to do when it comes to fighting but only brain and strategy. When you face your opponent it can go either way, with some luck you mostly walk out as a winner and with bad luck you lose. The stun rate arent really accurate but more of random imo. But when I recall to skill, strategy and players ability I talk about the things around that, like common sense. Seeing the obvious things as running when 5 guys come at you, knowing that when you war with your clan you dont target 1v1 but everybody target the same target. Things like that which can sound quite small but in the game affects the outcome of who is supposed to walk out as a winner. And last thing about the system and player ability. Everybody choose a specific character and decide what they are supposed to be capable of. If I make a knight with 11k hp and 3.6k ap I dont expect it to be able to reach 2.3k movement speed, thats one thing I sacrifice for getting the benefit from something else. With this so called hook up skill you can imagine how a scout gets to face a knight with 11k hp and 3.6k ap, believe me the scout wont stand a chance, his movement speed is his weapon.

Edit: And generally, if somebody is faster, has more hp than you can get down or can kill you with auto-attacks that doesnt mean you are supposed to go to the forum and ask for a balancing. A real player would think for himself of a counter weapon or a stragegy to overcome this problem. For speed you can always get a pair of phoenix wings or other items who can crack your speed up with 400-500. Someone with higher hp can always get killed if you play two characters or trying to land a double stun. And if you wanna avoid getting killed with auto attacks, you can always add more dodge or defence. These simple things who players cant come up with themself because they are so fckin lazy and cant come up with something themselves so basically when something is wrong the blame the staff for it.

So let's look at the current situation then. Knight vs Scout. If the knight wants to get a hit on the Scout, he has to land a stun skill (luck), and hit his other skills before the scout can run away. If he misses the stuns, the scout can just kite him around and win. We haven't even posted the success rate or distance of the hook yet, how can you tell it will be overpowered? After the hook you can land maybe one skill before the scout runs off again. If one skill can finish you your build can't be good.

At least wait with these drama posts ("it's killing the server!") until we actually release something. It's getting really, really annoying when every single adjustments gets shot down before it's given a chance. If iRosePH were a direct democracy, nothing would every happen.

This may be correct for small pvp's or 1vs1 but this argument makes no sense in general game play. What is, in your opinion, the point then of a dr fencer? Right, to tank and to survive. This has absolutely nothing to do with the hook skill. And how on earth can the hook skill make a dr fencer useless? For one, they allready have higher mspeed then normal fencers so they can pretty much chase the scout and use dire strike on the scout while that scout is channeling his skills. And dont worry, a scout still cant kill a full dr fencer with 9k hp

Couldnt aggree more.. There are some drama Queens around here >.>
Give comments or suggestions, dont tackle the new made adjustments before it even got implented Holy sh*t guys..
