How do other jobs suffer from it? I don't think Clerics win the 1v1 a lot.

It's just an example. Knights have a defense self-buff, so they would lose that advantage if everyone had it.

Cleric is weak so it may buff itself what you just said like cleric can buff itself because it is weak and that way they have still a chance of winning. Don't gey me wrong, but I think nerfing a cleric and max the int to 1350 was a really bad step you guys took. With only 1023 int buff ap raider wouldn't be overpowered.

Maybe the soldier class needs some sort of distance closing skill? Magician, Cleric, Scout, Bourgeois, and Artisan are all distance attackers. Raider can go invisible with equal speed to chase, I guess only Champion and Knight are left with no way to catch the runner. What if we added a skill, similar to shaman's teleport, but target based? This would give the Soldier a chance to follow with a stun attempt, while the runner would still have a chance for the stun to fail and continue running.

Instead of teleport how about when solider use that skill the target enemy will teleport in front of the solider? like skill of scorpion in mortal combat? haha well its just a suggestion.

This looks awesome! Would be great to see some gap-closing skills on knight or fencer, to catch up with people who are running away from combat, or to catch the last man standing on the enemy team who tries to run away.

See it like a gap-closer, as in League Of Legends where as you'll target your enemy and press a skill wich directs you to your opponent :). Ofcourse, this would have a minimum casting range ;)

EDIT: Maybe add up a 30% slow after your gap-closing attack hits your enemy, so that you'll be able to cast 1-2 skills before the scout/raider can run away again with 2.5k mspeed.

Wtf? Why so complicated when the problem is easy to solve by just making the game area smaller? Like in duel system, you can't run there ...

Nope, my point is; why would the staff have to spend time on adjusting skills which will be imbalanced again if they only have to make the game arena smaller to solve this issue?

why just not make 100 success chance to the taunt skill to work on players also like 3 sec taunt :) thats enough also it will be good on wars :) so people would have some tactic to play, but taunting his enemy wont mean not able to use skills, no, ofc they can use skills but they will be forced to attack the guy who taunted them w/o any chance to dodge it :) i think its not something big and its even simple

Instead of adding a teleport I'd rather see a skill which can fire from distances a debuf buff, moving speed down.
When some one uses a teleport the person will be teleported to the person who is running and in the mean time your enemie is already in another part of the map.

Even then it seems to me it would ruin the whole aspect of the game, adding one skill for certain jobs which are un-able to attack from far distances or even adding the icicles back into the game.
Then I must agree which would also be a great solution by adding a smaller map which can only be used for 1 versus 1 and soulmate perhaps.

I think soulmate doesnt need smaller map while we fight 2v2 actualy clerics got slow so thats balanced, isnt it ?

all of this discussion because of scout kitting. guys, please do accept that it is part of the game. all classes has it's pros and cons. scouts/clerics are good in 1v1 event, knights, clerics, mages, shamans in 15v15 etc etc. please don't do the mistake of spending a lot of time solving things that aren't really problems.

no, but it is a strategy dude. the 1v1 event isn't about who's the strongest, but who has the minds to think of a strategy that works. I personally dislike Jeffskie's (AP cleric) style of just accumulating damage and not actually killing his enemies. but do i cry? do i cry against kitting? no. because that is part of the game.

if u count this as crying, I dont :) i dont play to impress people because this is really not balanced and i think the tournament is about showing the best char that can beat everyone while fighting :) not kitting. BhieJr is one of those who i respect for doing that.

I couldnt aggree more with Williams. I met a running scout again in Solo PVP, he couldnt even get me below <75% when he stunned me because he was weak like that.. Instead, he just kept running > stunning.. Running > stunning. AND HE WON.. This like the MOST retarded aspect of the Game Arena.
