If I remember correctly, I designed it mainly using magic attacks, sort of a magic scout class? Also gave them traps for strategic use in war. Not sure if they are viable at either of them?
•Increase chance % of the traps and Decrease the cool down of the skill.
•Since hunter is sort of magic why don't put some calculation AP to INT stats?

Well, this is what we have so far regarding the new soldier class skill.

It is called Grappling Hook. If you have suggestions, now would be the time to present them.

So far we have not had any issues with being pulled into objects or walls, but we're still testing.

Certainly overpowered. Not a good idea. This places soldiers in a very good position. You see, soldiers are made to be slow, hawkers to be fast. Give this skill to soldiers and you totally wipe out the speed advantage of hawkers. Also, this can be used in many ways as well, aside from chasing.

because without this skill

some guys will keep crying about running issue coz they really have no idea for a high-speed enemy

I do believe that some guys will make another post to blame that why developer make soldier overpowered with this skill in the future

other words , never end of this issue

but better to make comments after this skill is really released

so I will just wait for it release at this moment ~

hook + stun? GG. if stun failed and scout managed to run, then just wait for the skill to cooldown then your in that soldier's arms again. don't get me wrong, i have 4 characters that are soldier class, and i guess that cloud is right, i'll just wait for this to come out.

so what if u have 4 soldier classes? i am almost max with my 5th soldier char and as u know already I got dr and normal types of soldiers. i know which can run and which cant run as fast as hunters and scouts. and i dont think that cleric is op since buffs are lowered alot. so this is the thing: u make dr type fencer/knight to be able to catch hunters and scouts and in the same time change like 9 items to kill a cleric because a dr type cant kill a cleric.

The grab looks great Moogle!
I was just wondering how this would be in PvP maps or whatsoever, and figured that this could be a really annoying skill haha. Imagine you've just stunned someone and some soldier pulls you away from your target. That would be devastating in some cases haha, but it sure changes the way of playing. Perfect to catch runners, awesome skill.
Thanks and thumbs up :)

EDIT: Maybe change the grab into a pull? So you will not drag the enemy to you but you'll be dragged to your enemy. This might prevent the skill from being flamed into oblivion in the future according to the things I said above.
I like it how it is now! Im just thinking for other people I guess ^_^

Adding a XX% slow after the skill doesnt seem good to me because that will really kill the scouts ability to kite

lol what i mean is I don't say it's OP it just because i don't have a soldier class. and you really think this is just to be used on game arena events. dude, this would really change gameplay. i agree with what reliable said, this has the potential to be flamed into death.

but then again, i'll just await its release.

Indeed, overpowered. If this would have 100% succes rate? Als whats the point of this. The problem was the pvp arena. Just make the map smaller and you're done. Wasting many time on new skills instead of just making the map smaller.. come on, think properly -.-

LOL because your Zesk is no longer can run away from soldier? let's just wait this to release and test it. Before Negative comment let's just try it first lol this is what moogle says. There are too many players who are always crying from their own sake.

Can we add this suggestion below? i think this will be useful since we can't switch from ALT bar to CTRL bar in our keyboard.

 danerika, on 18 January 2014 - 04:03 PM, said:

currently, we can utilize 2 skill bars, F1-F12 and Alt+F1-Alt+F12. There is this another skill bar, Ctrl, but we can't use it simultaneously with the Alt skill bar.

What I suggest is that we extract this Ctrl skill bar, so we can have 3 skill bars to utilize in game. this can dramatically change gameplay, especially for hardcore switchers.

thanks and more power!

I can see how it could become overpowered, so we're thinking about the distance, success rate, cooldown, etc.
