The soulmate system i know that has to be bugged, i have been killing pigs for 3 hours in the party, and not only those stupid pigs have 400,000hp or more but they don't drop the item we need, and it's not a problem with the quest because i have got 2 items on my char and the other said it only got 1 item, it takes more than the second job quest!!!

Please tell me this is bugged, if its not and this is normal then i guess i'm not going for it.

It's not bugged, it's all about luck. It took me 3 days to marry my cleric to my raider. But only half a day to get all 5 on my scout. It's all about luck mate

It is not a bug, it is all about luck. You need to have a good damage with good attackspeed to kill many pigs. If I were you, look for a small island there and kill all pigs, it took me only 2hrs in my third attempt, 6hrs on first (3 hrs for the last item)
