With a cleric :x

not dr type , not runner , killed my enemy , so what's the problem?

honestly I already gave up dr/def sets for long , because my inventory is full with other sets for switching

but I even lost in the first round because the bourg is still abusing ghost water

I don't really know why this is not fixed yet , I reported it few months ago LOL

Im not blaming you for running or useing DR or something. I never pointed any fingers at clerics, just at 'Runner scouts'

scout/hunter need this advantage to have % to win 1vs1

don't make them 0% chance to win please!

and decrease the duration of silence of the mage because it is 40sec and 1 round is 120sec. 3 mutes are same as running lol still can do more damage than basic attacks
Quote

Kyros's Photo Kyros 19 Jan 2014

Lets just reduce all the duration and decrease them for 1 versus 1, this rlly starts to get annoying people want to decrease this, that, bla bla bla
Soon enough I believe we could better just disable the 1 versus 1.

Maybe the soldier class needs some sort of distance closing skill? Magician, Cleric, Scout, Bourgeois, and Artisan are all distance attackers. Raider can go invisible with equal speed to chase, I guess only Champion and Knight are left with no way to catch the runner. What if we added a skill, similar to shaman's teleport, but target based? This would give the Soldier a chance to follow with a stun attempt, while the runner would still have a chance for the stun to fail and continue running.

Is like the barbarian leap in diablo III interesting idea and it could be useful for repositioning in wars.... but whatever i just dont run in 1v1 cause i think its too boring to do that hahahahaha

We're working on a new skill for soldiers to close gaps. Icicles will be enabled again. Damage per round tiebreaker will be fixed.
If that's still not enough we will make circle in the center of the 1v1 arena. It's the last choice because kiting / being ranged is a balance for having lower hp and defense.

We won't nerf any other job skills in tournament unless the job is dominating it every week.

The soldier skill we're working on is like the League of Legends Blitz hook. It will have a chance to hook the enemy and pull him to you. Working on the visuals ^^

How many times do you have seen a mage that won the tournament, I guess maybe in two years around 5.
The issue regarding the movement speed / running of other jobs where notice-able and I agree they hade to be changed in a certain way, knights already have a slow movement speed aoe which could be changed by example more chance to slow a person or making the radius around the champions wider.
Even then I find it quite silly that one single skill is being made for the purpose of a mini game while other jobs even suffer a worse condition, I'd rather seen the champions more actively and bourg, mage.
Also reports came in about hunter which I do think should have been upgraded first of all since it involves a new job.

I created the hunter class what, one or two years ago? We're just hearing about problems with it as of a month ago. So basically it's, everyone can take their merry sweet time to report an obvious problem, but we're expected to tackle it immediately? A player was complaining that he cannot even land an attack on his opponent. If it happens in this mini game, then it most-likely happens to some extent in all scenarios. So, we're not adding one single skill for the purpose of a mini game, we're adding it because common sense dictates that the only slow moving, non ranged class in the game needs to be able to catch their opponent. Not to mention the fact that everyone loves blitzcrank, and it is going to be very funny to watch. It is fun to work on, especially figuring out how to create the visuals, and watching tintin break his laptop hinges trying to make them work.

You may ask diffrent players about their opinion regarding the hunter job but I'm quite sure they will answer it all in negative. Also the post you mentioned isn't the first and I don't think it shall be the last if the hunter job isn't being changed. Since we are talking about the 1 versus 1 game arena mini game scenario, then I guess we should be changing the hunter and champion job indeed since if their rarely being used in the game arena the scenario we are talking about most likely happens in all scenarios.

I have no doubt that you would like to make a new skill and many other skills to follow, all the new jobs have great new visuals and I'm sure more coming.
But again I'd rather see one of the jobs being left out rise again before the knight shall be adjusted.

And I believe tintin has a backup laptop if it already didn't die.

No doubt that hunter class has needed improvements, my point is that I have just been made aware of this a month or less ago. It's not like we have a bunch of volunteer testers whenever we release an update, we have just a quick few people testing things for an hour or so, it's not like we have a mile long line of volunteers willing to test for a week or more. So, since there is no real testing phase, I assume I'd be notified if something were wrong with the class after going live on the main server, a forum message, anything. When I released the fencer class, there were no complaints. Same with hunter for weeks after release, so I resumed my non-iroseph work, assuming all was well. Not everyone has the time to sit here and read the forum boards for months on end, I most certainly don't, not usually. So now here it is, well over a year, maybe even two years after the class was released, and I am just now finding out, and people act like I am somehow obligated to jump right on it. I even saw some guy suggest that we "replace" the class with another class, such rudeness, as if it were just that easy to pull a new job class out of my arse. When this topic was formed, it irritated me, because the whole scout kiting around the soldier thing is ancient, old, scouts have been kiting around soldiers for years, in every version of rose. I finally give in, and suggest making a skill, which formed the similar suggestion which went into play. We make a skill which, as stated before, is applied to the soldier class, not just knights. It's not like we're sitting here jumping up and down in our chairs excited to make a skill, I for one hate making rose animations, but it beats making a map specifically just for a certain game mode, which I am definitely not doing. As for hunter, I don't know, I guess I will look at it when I feel like it, doesn't matter, I'm sure I will receive no testers or positive feedback as usual.

I dont have a hunter and i never played, but if u ask me the hunter is not weak.. people just make full int builds to stun good but the damage is really low, lets give u an example: knight building full str/sen to do max damage and if he go to full int his damage will be weak.

I never said the hunter class should be replaced, I do think it is a great new job along all it's new skills. However everyone knows that in the first few weeks nothing shall be found untill the little cracks are being shown.
That you where not aware of this problem in not your fault and I do agree with you, you can't step in at any moment to fix it, I neither would request that of you. I do think this is the time to do some adjustments on these jobs, even pointing them out is good since more discussions shall be given. The champion, bourg classes have already been the less populair jobs for over years that's what I'm pointing out. And if you want to be more aware of the situations in iROSEph you could always ask us anything in the staff forum.

When players are happy they will give a good feedback, example the christmas patch was a great succes and many thanked the iRosePH staff.

I actually love the hunter class. It has great visuals and epic skills. Tho the only thing that is holding me back from creating a hunter is the lack of damage and stun rate compared to scouts. (No I have not tested it, its just what I heard from others)
I might create one because I love two-handed bow playstyle ^^

1.hunters never get lower stun rate than scouts

2.they lack of dmg because they dont get enough high power skills to use , so they need to use 2 low power skills(around 1k dmg) in the their stun combo

comparing to scouts , hunters will do less 2k dmg in the 10s stun combo than scouts

If I remember correctly, I designed it mainly using magic attacks, sort of a magic scout class? Also gave them traps for strategic use in war. Not sure if they are viable at either of them?

yea so int/sen give the dmg mainly , not ap

btw the mr down trap is bugged

tested it in dod, it decreases 0% m-def actually , but u still can see the m-def down debuff on the enemy(but they check their m-def is still the same)
