It has been months since I've accomplished the SMS quest for my 6 characters... But I do remember that the longest time that I've spent accomplishing the said quest was half a day. But only because I was AFK numerous times while I was doing the quest. The shortest took me around 2-3 hours.

Try doing the all suggestions thrown on this thread. If things still don't work out then I hope one of the staff will wed your characters manually.

i used charm accessories from Gypsy Jewel Seller at Junon so that I can get the quest item easily. Be patient )
