you nid str because mage still need atk power, stronger defense, and + hp of course... U nid p2p with ap set... just add str on your stats... some mage in the game uses tanzanite.. being mage is really fun specially during celestial wars.. just take extra precautions when engaging in wars because of the low hp you have compared to other job.Dont forget to add concentration too. 1.2k or 1.3k hitrate will do... i do hope i was able to help you a bit...

me i use AP set and i used max int, less con the rest is up to you if your going to pump up your sen or str/dex
